Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an aunomous organization under the Ministry of HRD, Government of India is running nearly 950 Kendriya Vidyalayas all over the country to provide qualitative education from Class I to Class XII for the wards of the Central Government Employees and other population. For the administrative convenience, it has been divided into 18 regions, out of which Bhubaneswar Region is one.
The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Regional Office at Bhubaneswar started on 11.09.1984 with 32 KVs under its jurisdiction covering the whole State of Orissa, some parts of MP (now part of Chattisgarh) and Andhra Pradesh. Gradually, the number of Kendriya Vidyalayas under the jurisdiction of the region has increased and presently controls 68 Kendriya Vidyalayas (including two shift KVs) existing in the States of Orissa and Jharkhand only.
Milestone towards result achievement. The region’s results in CBSE Examinations is in the increasing path for the last five years.
Milestone towards infrastructure development. As many as 43 schools are having its own School Building and lease deed in respect of newly opened Kendriya Vidyalayas are in process.
The ICT infrastructure has been increased tremendously in the past four years and presently the PC, student ratio is 1:24 and some more new Computer Labs are coming up.
